First Lady Chirlene McCray joined us our School-wide Enrichment event during our Community School Forum and shared her passion for mental health and the Thrive NYC initiative.
Our state of the art Maker Space is transforming learning.
We're Happy to See You!
Welcome to PS 15. We are an amazing school located on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Our students benefit from small class sizes, a caring and committed team of educators, and an approach to instruction that values and fosters inquiry, exploration, and experiential learning. We believe in the potential of all students and are committed to nurturing them. Wonderful and exciting things are happening across PS 15 from our Pre-Kindergarten to Gifted & Talented classes.
Our wonderful Maker Space is open and transforming the way students learn. This dedicated space for building, designing, exploring, and innovating is helping students apply thinking and problem-solving skills in new ways. Thanks to the support from Creative Arts Agency (CAA) and a grant received from Lowe's Home Improvement, this space is equipped with computers, robots, a 3D printer, sewing machines, and much more.
As a Schoolwide Enrichment Model school, students participate in interest-based clusters that capitalize on their talents and interests to dig deeper into content, learn about the world around them, and collaborate to make a change. We look forward to seeing the social action projects students will take on this year! Our students will also have the opportunity to develop their talents through STEM, dance, drama, visual arts, and music classes. If you are interested in learning more about PS 15, read my message.
